Range of Services
We understand that many doctors choosing to partner with us on their journey towards Business School success will already have a reasonable insight as to their own capabilities, skill set and career choices. We therefore aim to offer a range of services that are individually tailored to your needs:
Initial Appraisal and Consultation
All potential MD2MBA candidates will be required to undergo an appraisal and consultation with one of our team. This will be via one of three main routes:
- CV and e-mail consultation
- CV review and telephone consultation
- CV review and one-to-one consultation
Upon initial contact with our team we will request your most recent CV and send you a questionnaire as well as a range of psychometric career assessments including Myers Briggs™ testing and Career Leader™ in order to evaluate your potential for both MBA admission and a future corporate career.
We will also ask you to do the GMATPrep® test preparation software in order to evaluate your likely potential GMAT score. This is the standardized test required by all top MBA programs and which is the most important academic predictor for your first year of an MBA program. The top schools typically require applicants to achieve scores of 700+ in their GMAT; this is far from easy to guarantee - applicants can be expected to invest a significant amount of time in meticulous and thorough GMAT preparation
Once you have sent us your CV, completed the assessment tests and GMAT prep tests we will be able to give you a realistic expectation of your chances for admission to a top school in comparison to both doctors and other non-medical applicants.
Those assessed as unlikely to succeed will, nonetheless, benefit from a free discussion on other Business School options and ways in which they may strengthen their application profile. Most importantly, we will advise you as to whether Business School is the right thing for you at this particularly stage in your career, or whether you would be better placed broadening your CV for a 6-12 months and studying for the GMAT prior to applying.
For those accepted to our service, we will then offer two major service types:
Targeted Service
This will target the specific areas of your applications that we feel you would need to improve prior to submitting them to Business Schools. Examples include CV editing, advice on selecting referees and helping you choose essay topics that best reflect your unique skill set and previous work experience.
Bespoke Service
We also offer a fully tailored package according to your specific needs and target schools. We will conduct an interview with you and consult you as to how you can most improve your chances of admission. This will look at all aspects of your applications and take you from the 'standard' doctor profile to a competitive top tier candidate.
We will be there during each step of the application process, responding to e-mails promptly and offering telephone advice at a mutually convenient time from one of our team according to your own time zone and preferences.
Funding options will be discussed for those in a difficult financial position and we will do our very best to offer an optimal service, taking your personal situation into account and focusing on the aspects of your applications that we feel most crucially need improvement.
