How can we help?

Admission to a top MBA program is, in most cases, harder than gaining acceptance to medical school. The acceptance rates for the top programs vary from 8%-18% and Business Schools are now consistently becoming more selective. Stanford Business School has maintained an acceptance rate of less than 10% for the past 3 years, recently changing its core curriculum and reducing class sizes even more in order to improve the faculty to student ratio. Whilst this greatly benefits the students that are accepted it makes things even more difficult for those candidates looking to secure a place at a top business school.

These top schools also boast a significantly high 'yield' rate and it is commonly recognized that schools such as Harvard and Stanford only ever lose students with multiple offers to their top MBA rivals. The combination of these factors means that often a relatively small number of top students gain acceptance at a number of prestigious schools.

As a result, top-tier schools offer a 'waitlist' system, placing candidates on a list with potential for admission should an accepted candidate opt to go to another school. The acceptance rate from the waitlist is, however, generally low (roughly 10-15%), further narrowing the chances of admission.

This situation is no different for the top schools outside of North America. Both London Business School and INSEAD (France) are not only highly selective, but also require students to have at least one language other than English prior to graduation from the MBA program. They are also more internationally focused than the US schools and expect at least some experience outside of a candidate's home country in order to select students with a global perspective. IMD (Switzerland) admits only 90 students per year to its MBA, the vast majority of which speak at least two languages and have significant work experience prior to commencing the MBA.

So how does our service increase your chances of success?

The range of services offered by our rivals is similar and includes CV re-writing, essay editing and advice on interview technique. They are, however, generalised for all graduates and backgrounds, looking to place students into a range of MBA programs.

MD2MBA has been setup to offer a specific service to doctors and only considers candidates that would be suitable for acceptance to a top tier MBA program. The reason for this is simple. Our aim is to enable doctors to utilize business education in order to propel their career trajectory and work within positions of significant influence globally.

Many of our team have chosen to transfer into the world of business to achieve success in the corporate fields where we can most contribute to the ongoing delivery of healthcare. Others have chosen a path towards governmental work, politics and NGOs.

Through our service, we offer the specific insight needed for doctors to gain a competitive edge over the thousands of applicants who apply to top MBA programs each year. As doctors we understand doctors. As accepted MBA students we know what is required to gain admission to top calibre programs. And as corporate executives we understand how to convert the skills gained as a doctor into a tangible set of core competencies attractive to both MBA Admissions Committees and future employers.

MD2MBA has been created in order to provide a network of influential physicians within the business community. It is our philosophy that in doing so we will continue to improve the delivery of medical services to patients across the globe and help doctors to regain control of their own healthcare systems.
